2018年軟科全球體育類院系學術排名公布!! 國立體育大學連續三年入榜!
2018年9月，軟科世界大學學術排名 (Academic Ranking of World Universities, ARWU)網站正式發佈了「2018軟科全球體育類院系學術排名」，本校國立體育大學(National Taiwan Sport University) 於全球367個大學、近400個體育院系中，名列全球151-200名之區位，與多所知名國際大學並列，顯現出臺灣的學術實力不容小覷。

ARWU是目前全球最知名的大學排名系統之一，評比排名極具代表性，與QS世界大學排名、泰晤士報高等教育等系統齊名。其中「2018年軟科全球體育類院系學術排名」，係以各校在「學術產出、學術質量，以及學術全球化」等程度做為評選主軸，並以選擇論文數 (PUB)、論文被引次數 (CIT)、篇均被引次數 (CPP)、前25%優質期刊發文數 (TOP)、國際合作論文比例 (IC) 等五個指標進行排名。
此次全球體育類院系學術排名前5名分別為：哥本哈根大學、挪威體育學院、迪肯大學、拉夫堡大學、昆士蘭大學。本校國立體育大學 (National Taiwan Sport University) 連續第三年是臺灣於全球排名中表現最佳之體育運動院校之一，尤其前二年更是連續位列全球101-150名之區位，顯示全球運動科研學術競爭日趨白熱化，除了我們已展現出卓越的學術研究實力，如何繼續保持高水準競爭力，期待政府體育運動教育與科研相關部門以及運動產業界能夠給予學校更多的支持。
國立體育大學常年致力於栽培各項目的優秀運動員，如跆拳道奧運金牌朱木炎、舉重奧運金牌陳葦綾、高爾夫世界球后曾雅妮、棒球旅外選手陳偉殷等，今年本校學生與畢業校友代表國家參加2018年雅加達亞運，摘下3金6銀12銅共32人次，對國家整體競技成績之表現有實質貢獻。除各類運動項目表現卓越，此次排名更顯示出本校學術研究亦受國際肯定，足見本校在體育運動各領域表現備受各界肯定。

Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) -- ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments was published in Sep. 2018. National Taiwan Sport University ranks 151-200 among the world's 367 universities and nearly 400 sports academies. It is juxtaposed with many well-known international universities, showing that Taiwan's academic influence cannot be underestimated.
ARWU is one of the most well-known university ranking systems in the world, and it is similar to the QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education and other ranking systems. Among them, " ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments " is based on the study output, academic quality, and academic globalization as the main axis of selection. Top 300 universities are published in this ranking based on the measurement of publication, citation, citations per publication, top 25% journals publications, and internationally collaborated publications.
The top five academic rankings of the sports academy are: Copenhagen University, Norwegian Institute of Physical Education, Deakin University, Loughborough University, and the University of Queensland. For the third year in a row, National Taiwan Sport University is one of Taiwan's best performing sports institutions in the global rankings. In particular, it has ranked 101-150 places among the world in the past two years, showing that academic development in sports science is becoming increasingly competitive. In addition to our outstanding academic research strength, we will continue to maintain a high level of competitiveness. We expect the government related to physical education and research departments and the sports industry to give more support.
National Sports University has committed to cultivating excellent athletes for various sports, such as Taekwondo Olympic gold medalist Chu, Mu-Yen, weightlifting Olympic gold medalist Hsu, Shu-Ching, World No. 1 golfer Tseng, Ya-Ni and baseball player Chen, Wei-Yin, etc. This year, In 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, NTSU students and alumni acquired 32 gold medals, 6 silver medals and 12 bronze. In addition to the outstanding performance of various sports, this ranking shows that the academic research of the university is also internationally affirmed.
